In a statement, the all-Boeing operator says it expects to take delivery of the aircraft in 2007. It will finance 15% of the purchase with its own funds and the rest through loans.

El Al says the fleet acquisitions are subject to receipt of commitments from US trade bodies which will enable the airline to receive the loan financing by December 2005.

El Al operates an all-Boeing fleet of 34 aircraft. The new 777s will be deployed on routes from Tel Aviv to the USA and Asia.
