El Al president Joel Feldschu has resigned after becoming frustrated with the delayed privatisation of the Israeli carrier. Feldschu, El Al chief for four years, has asked to step down from 30 October, with the Israeli transport minister accepting his request. "I came here to lead the privatisation process," says Feldschu. "This has not begun and that's the time to leave."
