Israeli electro-optics company El-Op has secured an unidentified launch customer for its advanced hyper spectral detection and recognition system. The company is building up the "bank" of known wavelengths reflected from potential targets that forms the basis of the system. El-Op is developing the advanced hyper spectral payload to enhance the capabilities of optical systems, especially when these are limited by the size of the optics. El-Op says the bank will cover wavelengths in the visible and invisible spectrum.
