Israel's Elbit Systems is already targeting its next acquisition after completing the purchase of El-Op. Elbit president Joseph Ackerman says it aims to buy a defence electronics company in Europe or the USA offering "technologies we need and access to new markets". He adds: "We have the cash and will try to finalise a deal as soon as possible". Elbit sales should grow by 10% in 2001.
