The Embraer 170 has completed its cold soak tests, at Barrow and Fairbanks, Alaska - the former inside the Arctic Circle. Development aircraft 05 was exposed to full off-duty/overnight preparations - including an 8h idle period - at –3°C (27°F) to –31°C. The tests were aimed at validating operational procedures at low temperatures.
