Embraer Executive Jets has appointed Mexican business aviation services provider, Across as its first sales agent in Latin America.
The move is designed to exploit the anticipated demand for business aircraft in the fertile Mexican market – home to the world’s second largest business jet inventory and also one of its oldest.
Marco Tulio Pellegrini, president and chief executive of the Brazilian airframer, says the partnership with Across “leverages Embraer’s footprint” in Mexico “and highlights our commitment to this market".
Flightglobal’s Fleets Analyzer database records an installed base of around 800 business jets in Mexico – including 15 Embraer types – with an average age of 23 years.

Latin America is a key market for Embraer. With an inventory of more than 240 aircraft, the continent is home to nearly 25% of the manufacturer's global fleet of almost 1,000 Lineage 1000E, Legacy 650, 600, 500 and 450 and Phenom 100 and 300 business jets.
In its latest marked forecast, Embraer predicts the region will account for 650 new jet deliveries between 2015 and 2024, with a value of $11 billion.
Last year the company shipped 120 aircraft – its highest tally for five years.
