Embraer has cut the first metal for the stretched 195 aircraft, which is scheduled to roll out in just over 12 months. The first machined frame for the 108-seat aircraft follows two years behind the start of Embraer 170 production and comes seven months ahead of that aircraft's scheduled entry into service.
