Brazilian regional jet manufacturer Embraer delivered 162 commercial aircraft last year, against 130 in 2007.
The figure comprises 92 Embraer 190/195s, plus 64 Embraer 170/175s and six ERJ-145s.
Forty-four aircraft were delivered to the commercial sector in the fourth quarter.
Across its entire aircraft range, the airframer delivered 204 aircraft which included 36 executive jets - two Phenom 100s among them - and six for defence and governmental customers.
This total figure is a 20% increase on the 169 aircraft delivered during the previous year. The company indicated a year ago that it expected to deliver up to 215 jets in 2008.
Embraer values its firm order backlog, 426 jets at the end of December, at $20.9 billion. This includes 321 Embraer 190/195s, 65 Embraer 170/175s, and 40 ERJ-145s.
