After the inflight failure of a Teledyne Continental IO-360 piston engine in a Cirrus SR20 in April, the US Federal Aviation Administration has issued an emergency airworthiness directive affecting IO-300, IO-360, TSIO-360 and LTSIO-520 engines and requiring replacement within 10 flight hours of Unison magnetos produced last November and December.
