International air-freight company, Emery Worldwide of Redwood City, California, has appointed Lloyd Smith, Far East route sales executive, for the UK and Ireland division, based at London Heathrow Airport. He has had 19 years' experience in the freight-forwarding and logistics industry. Paul King is named route development executive for Australasia, New Zealand and the Indian subcontinent, also based at Heathrow. He was formerly country manager, Saudi Arabia, for TNT Skypak's Middle East division. M K Lalkaka, with more than 15 years' experience in air freight, has been named general manager for India, based at Bombay, one of seven new sales offices to be opened.
