International freight carrier Emery Worldwide, of Palo Alto, California, has appointed Lawrence Cummings division operations manager for the UK, Ireland and southern Africa, reporting to David Harrison, manager of the London-based UK division. Cummings, formerly managing director international road-transportation company Interoute, succeeds Brian East, who becomes customer-services manager and aviation security and training manager at the UK division.
