Emirates once again brought much-needed cheer to the industry with its latest deals announced yesterday - $19 billion worth of orders from Airbus and Boeing. The deals - the biggest order in aviation history - covered 23 additional Airbus A380 mega-jumbos, as well as A340-600HGWs (Higher Gross Weight) - making it the launch customer - A340-500s and 26 Boeing 777-300ER aircraft.
