Engine agreement
Boeing's Rocketdyne Power division has finalised a long-term agreement with Mitsubishi Heavy Industries on design and development of a new liquid oxygen/liquid hydrogen upper- stage engine for next-generation expendable launch vehicles. Full-scale development of the new engine, the MB-XX, began in January 1999.
