Rolls-Royce has received US certification for the uprated AE3007C1 turbofan, which will power Cessna Citation X business jets to be delivered from January. Producing 10% more take-off thrust, at 6,760lb (30kN), the engine will reduce take-off distance and allow an increased maximum take-off weight to 180kg (400lb) enabling the aircraft to carry up to seven passengers with full fuel.
