Canada's NRC Aerospace national research laboratory has completed engine nacelle icing certification tests for the Eclipse 500 very light jet. The icing-tunnel tests of the nacelle and engine/nacelle combination were conducted under a $335,000 contract from manufacturer Eclipse Aviation. The Eclipse's Pratt & Whitney Canada PW610 engine underwent icing tests at NRC Aerospace in February.
