Hawker Beechcraft is offering enhanced vision systems as well as AmSafe seatbelt airbags for the single-engined Beechcraft Bonanza and twin-engined Beechcraft Baron piston-powered lines of aircraft.
The integrated airbags, available for pilot and co-pilot seats, are designed to inflate upward and outward in less than 90 milliseconds, holding the occupant firmly in the seatbelt and preventing head injuries.
The equipment can be purchased through Hawker Beechcraft's parts and distribution organisation and installed at any of 500 AmSafe authorised service centres.
The airframer is offering Forward Vision's EVS-100 and EVS-600 systems for forward-fit or retrofit installation in the two aircraft. Forward Vision is the exclusive distributor of Max-Viz for the two non-cooled vision systems.
Along with the Baron and Bonanza, Forward Vision has supplemental type certificates to install the two systems on the Cirrus line and most Cessna airframes.
The EVS-100 offers a 40° horizontal by 30° vertical view in the 8-14 micron infrared range, cutting through haze, fog, smoke and precipitation at eight- to 10-times farther than the human eye in both night and day, says Hawker Beechcraft.
The EVS-600 also includes a visual channel, making it the only dual-channel system available for the general aviation market, says the company.
