Enstrom Helicopter has recorded a surge in demand for its 480B turbine helicopter from corporate operators in the UK and Ireland.
Eastern Atlantic Helicopters, Enstrom distributor for Ireland and the UK, has sold four of the type so far in 2005 and expects to place two more by year-end, compared with average annual sales of 1-2 aircraft.
“All the customers are private pilots using the aircraft for business, and it’s an affordable helicopter with more room than a Robinson,” says Eastern Atlantic sales director Jamie Chalkley.
