Enstrom Helicopter plans to deliver 36 aircraft next year, up from 17 last year and a projected 24 this year. The company expects to deliver the last three of 18 Model 480B light turbine helicopters for the Indonesian National Police ahead of schedule this month.
Michigan-based Enstrom has stepped up marketing efforts and says deliveries are sold out for this year and through to June for next year. The company produced nine piston and eight turbine singles in 2003, but the Indonesian order boosted turbine production to 18 this year.
Enstrom is planning a further increase in Model 480B deliveries to 24 next year, while piston shipments are expected to recover to 12 aircraft, says marketing manager Marian Lambrecht.
