Melbourne's original primary airport at Essendon is to be offered for privatisation sale by the Australian Government. Located near the city's main airport at Tullamarine, Essendon will continue to operate as a general aviation airport. The government says it is seeking investors who can demonstrate airport management capability, and financial strength.
