Ind£stria Aeron utica Neiva's Ipanema crop duster has become the first ethanol-fuelled aircraft to receive certification, following approval from the Brazilian aviation regulatory agency. Neiva says the Lycoming-powered Ipanema runs on alcohol distilled from sugar cane and is designed to slash fuel costs by around 75%.
