Ethiopian Airlines' fire-damaged Boeing 787-8, stranded at London Heathrow in July, has undertaken its first flight since the start of repair work to its aft fuselage.
The twinjet suffered extensive damage in the incident five months ago.
But it departed Heathrow on 21 December for a test flight which took it over the North Sea before the aircraft returned to the hub.
During the downtime in London the aircraft underwent repairs which involved removal of the vertical fin.
Investigators are still probing the source of the fire, although initial findings have centred on the emergency electronic locator transmitter which is installed in the upper rear fuselage.
