Ethiopian Airlines has contracted Lufthansa Technik (LHT) for component support on its Boeing 787 fleet.
The carrier inked a 10-year total support agreement with the German MRO firm covering equipment repair, spare pool access and logistics services.
Lufthansa Technik has been supporting Ethiopian's 787s since the first aircraft was delivered in August. The airline ordered 10 787s, three of which have been delivered to date.
Ethiopian is LHT's second 787 MRO customer after Japan Airlines.
The contract comes after LHT began providing component support for Ethiopian's Boeing MD-11 and Bombardier Dash 8 Q400 aircraft.
