Ethiopian Airlines will add flights to Dublin and Los Angeles to its network from June 2015.
The Addis Ababa-based carrier will operate both routes three times a week with a Boeing 787. Data from Flightglobal’s Innovata schedules show both routes are currently not operated by any other scheduled carrier.
Ethiopian chief executive Tewolde Gebremariam says the new services were being started as part of the carrier’s Vision 2025 strategic plan and says the new flights to LA would “facilitate mobility and connectivity for businesses and the large African Diaspora community living in the west coast of the USA”.
Dublin will be Ethiopian's eleventh European destination and LA its fourth route to the USA.
