Etihad Airways and Air New Zealand (ANZ) have signed an agreement to provide reciprocal line maintenance services in Melbourne and Los Angeles.
ANZ has begun performing full line maintenance on Etihad’s aircraft in Los Angeles, while Etihad will begin all scheduled and non-scheduled maintenance on ANZ’s aircraft in Melbourne, says the Middle Eastern carrier.
The services that will be performed in Melbourne and Los Angeles includes transit, daily and weekly checks, scheduled engineering services, and fault repairs for aircraft systems and passenger cabins.
“Our successful codeshare partnership with Air New Zealand goes back three years and we are delighted to build on this foundation by working together in the technical area,” adds Etihad’s senior vice-president technical Jeff Wilkinson.
