UK-based low fare airline EUjet suspended operations last week when its parent, airport operator PlaneStation, entered administration. The filing resulted in operations being suspended at PlaneStation’s main facility, Kent International airport near London, which is the airline’s operating base. EUjet, which has an Irish air operator’s certificate, operated a small fleet of Fokker 100s leased from Debis AirFinance. EUjet chief executive P J McGoldrick says that any deal to secure new funding for the airline is unlikely with operations at its Kent International base being suspended.
