Eurocopter flew the Cougar Mk2+ for the first time on30 November. The Cougar Mk2+ has been ordered by the French air force for combat search and rescue. The machine differs from earlier Cougars in having a five-blade main rotor, a strengthened gearbox,a new powerplant installation and uprated Turbomeca Makila turboshaft engines.
