The European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) has approved installation of the Blackhawk XP upgrade on the Beechcraft King Air C90A/B.
The Blackhawk XP gives the C90A/B an approximate true airspeed increase of over 35kt (65km/h).
Available for the King Air C90A/C90B/E90 and the Cessna 425, Blackhawk XP is a simple, bolt-on upgrade, which also improves take-off and climb performance, especially from high altitude.
Existing engines are exchanged for two 750shp (560kW) Pratt & Whitney PT6A-135A engines along with a 1,000h engine warranty.
President Jim Allmon recently congratulated Europe’s first Blackhawk C90Bxp owner Hans Brüning of Wiesbaden, Germany.
Brüning purchased the new PT6A-135A engines through Blackhawk's first European distributor, TransAirco in Geneva.
He claims he currently owns the fastest C90B in Europe after clocking true airspeeds at over 274kt, with one groundspeed in excess of 340kt with strong tailwinds.
