Jet Aviation arrived at Dubai 2000 with the announcement of the delivery of the first Boeing Business Jet outfitted in Europe.
The BBJ was delivered from Seattle to Jet Aviation Basel, the Boeing-designated completion centre in Switzerland at the beginning of the year.
Interior design and completion of the VIP cabin and the exterior paint application were handled by Jet Aviation.
The cabin, which seats 18, includes independent meeting, lounge and dining areas as well as separate sleeping quarters where two sofas convert into beds and there is a private bathroom with shower. A desk in the private area is unique to this BBJ.
The flight deck is fitted with state-of-the art avionics technology and the aircraft features nine auxiliary fuel tanks giving it a maximum range of 11,480km.
Jet Aviation has a second BBJ at the Basel plant from where it also completes Airbus 319 Corporate Jetliners.
A third BBJ is slated to arrive in Basel before year-end, says Rainer Albecker, general manager Jet Aviation Basel.
