• 1 January, 2000 - all civil fixed-wing turbine-engined aircraft with a maximum take-off mass greater than 15,000kg or more than 30 passenger seats must carry Version 7 ACAS II equipment.

• 1 January, 2000-31 March, 2001 - ACAS II implementation transition period - operators must apply for ACAS II exemptions if they cannot meet the 1 January, 2000, deadline.

• 1 January, 2005 - all civil fixed-wing turbine-engined aircraft with a maximum takeoff mass greater than 5,700kg or more than 19 passenger seats must carry Version 7 ACAS II equipment.

• All military transport-type aircraft of greater than 15,000kg or more than 30 passenger seats must be equipped as soon as is practicable, but not later than 1 January, 2005.
