The EUROSAM consortium has carried out a launch-and-intercept trial with its Aster 15 missile against a simulated supersonic sea-skimming missile. The montage image of the interception shows the relatively high parabola flown by the missile in successfully engaging the target. The weapon, now in development, is scheduled to enter on the French navy's nuclear carrier, the Charles De Gaulle, at the end of the century.
