Lufthansa has agreed to the terms of the German Federal Cartel Office to increase its stake in German regional Eurowings to 49%. It will hand over several routes, as well as slots at Frankfurt, Munich and Dusseldorf, to another regional European Air Express (EAE). Eurowings will also sell five ATR-42 turboprops to EAE and the Moenchgladbach-based carrier will be protected from any increase in Lufthansa capacity for three years.
