Taiwan's EVA Air has launched twice-weekly services between its Taipei base and Sydney in Australia. The carrier is operating a Boeing 767-300 service non-stop to Sydney every Tuesday and Friday. EVA decided to launch its own services to Sydney after Qantas Airways said it would scrap operations on the route. EVA codeshared with Qantas on the Australian carrier's flights.
