Taiwan's EVA Airways has confirmed an order for up to 15 ultra-long-range Boeing 777s, becoming the second carrier to firm up purchase plans following the launch of the new twin-engined widebody variants on 29 February. The deal covers firm orders for seven ultra-long-range 777-200/300s and eight options.

Boeing remains hesitant to jump headlong into developing hydrogen-powered aircraft due to safety and technical challenges, despite widespread calls for aircraft developers to roll out clean-burning designs as quickly as possible.
While Embraer has so far not announced any commercial jets orders at this year’s Farnborough air show, chief executive Arjan Meijer says there are numerous deals in the pipeline for at least 300 aircraft.
