Oregon-based Evergreen International Airlines has been chosen by Boeing to operate the fleet of 747 Large Cargo Freighters (LCF) that will transport major sections of the 787 to Everett for final assembly from 2007.

Evergreen, which will operate the routes to and from the USA and Japan, has appointed Cargolux as a subcontractor to fly routes from Europe. The bulbous aircraft is set to make its first flight in mid-2006.
