ExecuJet Middle East is extending the company's strategic partnership with Bilen Air Service in Istanbul to include business aircraft handling at Sabiha Gokçen airport.
The move follows a recent decision by the Turkish authorities to restrict business and general aviation aircraft movements at nearby Atatürk airport - where ExecuJet has a fixed-base operation (FBO).
Tolga Asan, Bilen Air Service assistant general manager, says Istanbul airport has restrictions limiting foreign general aviation movements between 21:00 and 02:30 in an effort to reserve daytime capacity for commercial traffic.
Customers flying into Sabiha Gokçen will be handled by Bilen Air FBO service staff and will be able to use facilities in the general aviation terminal.
