ExecuJet Aviation has established corporate offices in China, India and Russia in an effort to exploit the growing demand for business aviation in these booming countries.
"Our offices are up and running in Beijing, Mumbai and Moscow and we plan to roll out our services within these regions, starting with our SimplyFly jet ownership programme, followed by new and used aircraft sales, maintenance, aircraft management, charter and fixed-based operations," says ExecuJet group managing director Gerrit Basson.
The Zurich-based business aviation services provider is keen to establish joint venture partnerships within each country with which it can expand and develop its services. "Business aviation is growing in Asia and we want to ride on this wave," says Basson. "There are 300 business jets operating in Asia Pacific and the majority are privately owned. There is plenty of opportunity to bolster the number of jets flying in the region, which is expected to account for 15% of global deliveries over the next five years [according to Honeywell Aerospace's latest report]."
Basson says ExecuJet is around three months away from signing a partner with an air operator's certificate in India and six months away in China.
ExecuJet, which has an expanding managed fleet of 110 aircraft, does not plan to offer charter services within Russia yet as it already serves a growing Russian customer base from outside the region.
