ExecuJet Switzerland has acquired fixed-base operator (FBO) Zimex Flight Support, confirming its pledge to expand its FBO business within Europe. Zimex Flight Support, formerly owned by Zimex Aviation, is adjacent to Execujet's facility at Zurich airport, Switzerland.
ExecuJet Group chief executive Niall Olver says the purchase also forms part of the company's strategy to create a synergy between ExecuJet's Scandinavian venture in Copenhagen, Denmark and its Swiss operation. "We are adopting a common philosophy across our two bases where we will offer Bombardier business aircraft sales, management, charter, consulting finance and FBO services."
Olver says while the company has an FBO business at Copenhagen it is seeking further ventures through acquisitions, partnerships and start-ups.
