Banmiller Haiwaii bound

Airline veteran David Banmiller has swapped the sunny climate of the Caribbean for that of Haiwaii, moving from the position of executive vice-president of Air Jamaica to president and chief executive of Aloha Airlines.

Banmiller has a career spanning more than three decades in the aviation industry. Before joining Air Jamaica, Banmiller enjoyed a 30-year career that began as a management trainee for TWA. He has led a number of carriers, including Sun Country Airlines, Pan American World Airways and Sun Jet. At American Airlines he held the position of vice-president international division.

Before that he was president for Air Cal, which was acquired by American.

Banmiller joined Aloha after a search conducted by Korn/Ferry International.
