Vijay Poonoosamy, former managing director of Air Mauritius, has joined Abu Dhabi-based Etihad Airways as manager of international affairs.
Northwest Airlines has named David Davis as senior vice-president finance and controller, replacing Jeff Putnam. Davis rejoins Northwest after serving as chief financial officer of Houston-based Kraton Polymers.
British Airways is reorganising its customer service and operations department following the retirement of director Mike Street. Geoff Want, director of safety and security, will direct all ground operations, including oversight of BA’s move in 2008 to Terminal 5 at London Heathrow.
Until it finds a new head to replace Ralph Norris, Air New Zealand has named chief financial officer Rob McDonald acting chief executive until an appointment is made. Norris resigned in June and has left to take over as head of Commonwealth Bank of Australia.
