- Carsten Spohr (40), previously executive vice-president services and human resources on the Lufthansa board has started his new post as chief executive and chairman of Lufthansa Cargo. He succeeds Jean-Peter Jansen. Interim chairman Stefan Lauer resumes as supervisory board chairman of Lufthansa Cargo.
- Newly launched Caribbean Airlines has named Ian Brunton as its executive vice-president operations, Robert Corbie as regional director for the Caribbean, Robert Boddish as regional director for North America and Adam Diaz as general manager Miami.
- Abu Dhabi-based Etihad Airways has appointed lain Burns as its vice-president of corporate communications. He resigned from British Airways following a US/UK probe that started last year into price-fixing.
- Iberia chairman Fernando Conte has been elected as the chairman of the Association of European Airlines for 2007.
- US industry veteran Roger Cohen is the new president of the Regional Airline Association. His career has spanned time at the Aircraft Owners & Pilots Association and the Air Transport Association.
