The Texas Instruments AGM-154 Joint Stand-Off Weapon (JSOW) recently had its first launch from the Lockheed Martin F-16 fighter aircraft. The successful test launch was conducted at Eglin AFB, Florida. The F-16 fired a JSOW which flew via pre-planned way-points to a target, where it dispensed its sub-munitions, 145 BLU-97 Combined Effect Bomblets.
