Lebanese national cargo airline Trans Mediterranean Airways (TMA), the Dogmoch Group and Fairchild Dornier have signed a deal to create a Beirut-based operating and leasing centre for the US-German manufacturer's corporate aircraft products.

The venture will focus on Envoy 3 and Envoy 7 aircraft - VIP-configured versions of the 328JET and 728JETregional airliners, respectively. Dogmoch is the representative agent of Fairchild Dornier in Lebanon.

Under the terms of the agreement, TMA will set up an operations centre for use by Dogmoch and its clients and supply cockpit crew and ground handling services. The two companies also plan to invest in establishing a regional maintenance base for the Envoy models.

"These services are expected to help attract foreign investments, and corporations to set up offices in the region," says Dogmoch.

Fairchild Dornier has clinched 29 orders for the Envoy 7 to date, but has yet to secure a sale for its smaller Envoy 3.
