Gulf Air has implemented the first major restyling of its colour scheme for almost 30 years. The focal point of the new Landor Associates-designed scheme is a larger, restyled golden falcon which was a feature of the previous colours, described by the airline's chief executive James Hogan as "a powerful prominent icon for a new era". Meanwhile, Hogan says that despite the detrimental effects of the Iraq conflict and the SARS virus, Gulf Air achieved an average 3.7% improvement in traffic in the first quarter over the same period last year, while yield saw an average increase of 7.8%.
