CAE will be the exclusive provider of entitlement training for Dassault's new Falcon 7X, ending FlightSafety International's monopoly on providing factory-authorised training for the French manufacturer's business jets. Dassault says CAE offered the most competitive business and technical package. The Canadian company will build two full-flight simulators for the fly-by-wire Falcon 7X and develop a training programme incorporating its Simfinity devices. CAE will also build two simulators convertible between the Falcon 900EX EASy and Falcon 2000EX EASy. All four machines will use CAE's Tropos visual systems. One Falcon 7X and one convertible simulator will be installed at CAE's new UK training centre in the fourth quarter of 2006. The others are likely to be installed in North America.
