Esterline, CMC Electronics and Raytheon have signed a 12-year agreement to supply more than 35,000 hybrid microcircuits for the active electronically scanned array (AESA) radar system for the Boeing F-18E/F and F-15E.
The AESA radar on these two aircraft provides targeting, tracking and situational awareness capabilities for the US Navy, Air Force and National Guard.
Raytheon was recently selected by Boeing to supply its AESA radar for the USAF's F-15E Strike Eagle. The programme covers production, maintenance, test equipment and spares for the entire fleet, which is expected to include up to 224 aircraft.
