Asiana Airlines has selected Pratt & Whitney PW4000-112 engines to power three new Boeing 777-200ER aircraft in a deal valued at more than $135 million. The contract includes installed engines and a long-term service agreement provided by P&W’s global service partners.

South Korean Asiana currently operates Boeing 777-200ERs with PW4090 engines; Airbus A330-300 aircraft with PW4168A engines; and Airbus A320-family aircraft powered by IAE V2500 engines. Deliveries for the airline’s new PW4090 engines will begin in 2009.
