BAE Systems is using its Spider sensor, command and control system to “protect” the aircraft on the Farnborough static park display.
The demonstration features a wide range of sensors, including radar, EO/IR cameras and motion detectors and is co-ordinated by a deployable surveillance unit (DSU).

The DSU is operating as a stand-alone C2 and sensor system and will demonstrate airport perimeter protection.

Video is also integrated with the FLIR IR camera and Ipsotek video analytics to show automatic detection and monitoring for a perimeter breech over a range of more than 1km.

The system is fully scalable, can be distributed over a network and can be used for both covert and overt operations.
