Austrian computing specialist TTTech is showing a range of new hardware and software tools for use in the development of products based on the emerging Time-Triggered Ethernet (TTEthernet) data communications standard.

“TTEthernet was developed to bridge the gap between the high-speed ethernet standard and the provision needed by fault-tolerant embedded networking for safety-critical applications,” says TTTech business development manager Andreas Eckel.

“This flexible technology, with its high degree of compatibility with standard ethernet, facilitates the design of complex integrated systems by efficiently integrating different types of data into a single communications infrastructure.”

Early takers for the TTTech’s offerings include Honeywell.

Other TTTech achievements include its contribution to the recent successful first power-up of the Boeing 787 prototype.
