An AgustaWestland AW139 medium twin helicopter operated in the Netherlands by CHC Helicopter is the first to achieve the milestone of 5,000 flying hours, the Anglo Italian airframer said at the show. The Malaysian maritime enforcement agency meanwhile has taken delivery of its first of three AW139 for search and rescue, coastal patrol and law enforcement duties and Samsung Techwin of South Korea has added a second type for corporate transport missions.
