US-based lessor Air Lease Corporation is ordering another three Airbus A350s as part of a package which also includes a single A321.
Airbus disclosed the agreement during the Farnborough air show.
The additional A350-900s bring Air Lease’s overall orders for the type to 24, while it also has agreements to take five of the larger A350-1000.
Air Lease chief John Plueger says the additional jets are “needed to fill ongoing customer lease placements”, given “strong” demand for the types.
All A350-900s are fitted with Rolls-Royce Trent XWB engines. No engine selection has been given for the A321.
